About the Profile Function

The Profile Function is where you, the user, sets your default settings in iTracer. The default settings are what appear in iTracer when you first access the web site. They fall into three categories or "views". These views are:

  • General

  • Function

  • Report

The General View

The General view is where you set your data preference within the parameters of your security access. In other words, this is how you want your data to look when you first logon to iTracer. You also set the default date range of your data and your screen display settings. This is where you set the number of data rows per page. You also determine which function displays when you first logon to iTracer.

The Function View

The Function view is where you set your default view and data sort for each function when you first access a function. Simply click a drop down window to select the your default view and data sort.

The Report View

The Report view is where you set the default profile for your data preference and date range when you generate a report. This view looks identical to the General view. The only difference is that it only affects reports. You can override these settings in the Report Function in order to generate custom reports, but you cannot save those profile settings.
