Introduction
The Allocation
function let's you associate general ledger (GL) Numbers with your transactions
and then create a GL interface file for exporting Spectrum transaction information
into your general ledger. iTracer has the industry's most intuitive and flexible
setup, which allows you to use sub-accounts to automatically define GL Numbers
using data from Spectrum. You also have to option of manually mapping Main
GL Numbers to transactions using the Chart of Accounts. Or, you can use a
combination of both methods.

Choice of
interface file formats
iTracer has the
industry's most flexible GL interface file option capability. You can choose
from four possible interface file formats that let you interact with any GL
software. The interface file format options include:
- Standard fixed
length text file
- Standard comma
separated values text file
- Microsoft
Excel file
- XML file

Company level
restrictions
iTracer restricts
producing the final write and clear of the Interface File and updating the
Allocation Setup to only users with company level access. This prevents individual
cardholders from altering your company's GL setup.

iTracer's Allocation
function is both flexible and simple to use. There are three basic steps in
using the Allocation function:
- Setting up
Allocation
